“We Three Kings Take Five,” a jazzy Brubeck-esque setting of the familiar Epiphany hymn, will appear on the soon-to-be-released CD, “Christmas Collage.” The recording is a joint venture of the Waukesha, Wisconsin-based ensemble, The Nordic Brass, with the Jubilate Chorale and Jazz Express.
Arranged by Todd Marchand and published by Con Spirito Music, “We Three Kings Take Five” opens with a chorale-like statement of the refrain, followed by three verses of the tune and refrain in a 5/4 swing style.
